U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and U.S. Navy Sailors with Assault Craft Unit 5, load a tractor, rubber-tired, articulated steering, multi-purpose vehicle on a U.S. Navy Landing Craft, Air Cushion for transport from San Clemente Island to Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 28, 2024. ACU 5 helped transport 835,000 pounds of equipment across 58 nautical miles in support of MWSS-373's Strategic Mobility Exercise (STRATMOBEX) II. During STRATMOBEX II, MWSS-373 demonstrated mastery of scalable air-ground support such as expeditious airfield damage repair, forward arming and refueling, integrated engineering, and explosive ordnance disposal operations.
