King Faisal Bridge as seen through a bullet hole in the rubble of what once was a building. While the scars of war can still be seen in the surrounding areas, the bridge appears new after a joint Iraqi and Marine Corps team refurbished it. King Faisal Bridge was named after the first king of Iraq, King Faisal I. The bridge made headlines in 2004 when four Blackwater employees' bodies were hung from the bridge. The bridge was re-dedicated April 5, 2008.
