240319-N-YV333-1056 PRINCETON, N.J. (Mar. 19, 2024) Sailors assigned to the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG-59) learn the history of Stony Brook Friends Meetinghouse while touring the Princeton Battlefield State Park during a namesake visit. The Friends Meetinghouse is still active and sheltered wounded soldiers following the Battle of Princeton. 17 USS Princeton crew members visited the city of Princeton to reconnect with history and foster meaningful connections with local residents, community leaders and schools, strengthening the bond between the ship and its namesake city.
