U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Eric Frassoni, a platoon guide with 2nd Platoon, Alpha Company, Marine Barracks Washington D.C., mans the Marines booth at the National Association of Basketball Coaches annual convention in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 4, 2023. The Marines and NABC are committed to offering the opportunity to develop new relationships with basketball coaches to build trust and create a larger pool of advocates to access talented young men and women.
According to Frassoni, a native of Ridley Park, Pa., he joined the Marine Corps in 2019 to, “Do something exciting and cool.” As an infantryman Frassoni has had a myriad of opportunities to do things he likely would have never otherwise gotten the opportunity to do. Because of this, he’s decided to make a career out of the Marine Corps to the best of his ability.
“20 years wasn’t the plan in the beginning,” said Frassoni, “I planned on just feeling it out. But once you join, you meet the best friends you can imagine and do some of the most exciting things imaginable, it’s easy to stay.”
