NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, Va (April 6, 2024) - Seaman Joshua Wilson, assigned to the San Antonio class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD-21), heaves a mooring line on the ship’s fo’c’sle, April 6, 2024. New York was getting underway to join the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group for the Composite Unit Training Exercise in the U.S. Second Fleet area of operations. Naval integration provides combatant commanders and America’s civilian leaders highly-capable forces that deter adversaries, underpin American security and economic prosperity, and reassure allies and partners.
