    USS NEW YORK (LPD 21)

NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, Va (April 6, 2024) - Sailors assigned to the San Antonio class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) and Marines assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) rig New York’s shore power cables to shore during sea and anchor detail, April 6, 2024. New York was getting underway to join the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group for the Composite Unit Training Exercise in the U.S. Second Fleet area of operations. Naval integration provides combatant commanders and America’s civilian leaders highly-capable forces that deter adversaries, underpin American security and economic prosperity, and reassure allies and partners.
