Team members unload items from a crane April 11 on Sparrows Point, Maryland. An estimated 50,000 tons of concrete and steel collapsed into the Patapsco River from Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge. Once removed, wreckage is transported by barge and sorted at the site. Debris and wreckage removal is ongoing in support of a top priority to safety and efficiently open the Fort McHenry Channel.
