MILLINGTON, Tenn. (April 12, 2024) Rear Adm. Rick Freedman, Deputy Surgeon General for the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), speaks during the inaugural BUMED kaizen event at Navy Recruiting Command headquarters. Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning change for the better or continuous improvement. It is a structured approach focused on identifying and eliminating roadblocks that hinder a process.
