U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Charlie Company, 87th Division Sustainment Support Battalion, and the 356th Transportation Company, 372nd Quartermaster Battalion, both serving in Europe under the 3rd Division Sustainment Brigade’s Task Force Provider, host a transfer of authority ceremony at Forward Operating Site Karliki, Poland, April 17, 2024. Both transportation companies are among a multi-composition array of units within 3rd DSB, 3rd Infantry Division, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America's forward deployed corps in Europe. Capt. Marshall Bailey and 1st Sgt. Wayne St. Croix, command team of C Company, cased their unit’s guidon and Capt. Nancy Rodriguez and Sgt. 1st Class James McCauley, the 356th Transportation Company command team, uncased theirs, symbolically demonstrating the formal transfer of responsibility for the mission from one to another. The active duty C Company will soon redeploy to Fort Stewart, Georgia, and the Army Reserve 356th Transportation Company deployed from Las Cruces, New Mexico, last month.
