The Navy Entomology Center of Excellence (NECE), the U.S. Navy’s insect experts provided comprehensive training on advanced techniques in genetics to the Defense Centers for Public Health-Aberdeen’s (DCPH-A) Vector-Borne Disease (VBD) Branch, April 1-5, at the Navy Entomology Center of Excellence, Jacksonville, Florida. During the training, DCPH-A VBD Branch Chief, Dr. Robyn Nadolny provided a brief on her department’s current capabilities and future direction. The purpose of the training was to enhance genomic expertise across agencies with the goal of combating vector-borne disease transmission for service members around the globe (U.S. Navy photo by Lt. j.g.
