U.S. Air Force Airmen met with members of the Japan Self-Defense Forces in front of the Iwo To tower, April 12, 2024, at Iōtō (Iwo To), Japan. The airport site survey took place to plan for future aircraft landing, further bolstering the relationship between Japan and the United States. This took place as part of Exercise Agile Reaper, encompassing the 3rd Air Expeditionary Wing, a force package made of personnel from the 3rd Wing, 673d Air Base Wing, 176th Wing, and 477th Fighter Group, all from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, as well as units from the 15th Wing, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii and the 168th Wing, Eielson AFB, Alaska.
