Retired U.S. Navy Cmdr. Thomas Eugene Wilber, a family friend of a missing POW/MIA, listens to a tour during a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) recovery operation in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, March 13, 2024. Wilber visited the site to see a DPAA recovery team work closely with local workers to efficiently and effectively excavate the site in hopes of finding answers regarding the location of our missing personnel. There are approximately 1,576 missing personnel unaccounted-for in Vietnam. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Annaliss Candelaria)
