Brian Vorheis, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Operations Project Manager for Ice Harbor Lock and Dam gives a tour to Jaime Pinkham, Principal Deputy, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works and others inside the powerhouse, April 23. Ice Harbor Lock and Dam was authorized by the River and Harbor Act of 1945. The project includes a dam, a powerhouse, navigation lock, two fish ladders, a removable spillway weir and a juvenile fish bypass facility. It provides navigation, hydropower, flood risk management, fish and wildlife habitat, recreation and incidental irrigation.
