A safety reviews the results with the shooter at the zero range during Vulcan Forge at Fort McClellan, April 11, 2024. While ensuring range safety, safeties will often assist soldiers with zeroing, rifle technique, and basic marksmanship skills. Vulcan Forge is an annual 81st Readiness Division Mission Command Support Group mission where Soldiers assigned to the 81st RD MCSG and subordinate units conduct mandatory collective training to improve Soldier readiness and unit preparedness.
