    A team of engineers at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District review specifications for the design criteria to replace two cranes at McNary Lock and Dam during testing of a lifting beam, a component of the new pedestal crane, in Spokane, Washington, May 7. The crane is on track to become operational by October 31, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to upgrade the infrastructure at 7,365-foot-long Dam. A second crane is schedule to be in placed in 2025.
