Marines work together with members of Gesashi Ranger in front of the forest of Yanbaru National Park in Higashi Village, Feb. 22, 2024. Three Marines visited the upper reaches of Gesashi River in Higashi Village, a 40-minute drive north of Camp Schwab, the southern part of Yanbaru National Park, and help the Higashi Village to remove invasive alien plants, Mikania Micrantha, to protect the national treasure.
2024年2月22日、東村のやんばる国立公園の森の前で、慶佐次レンジャーと一緒に作業する海兵隊員ら。この日、3人の海兵隊員が、やんばる国立公園の南部に位置するキャンプ・シュワブから車で40分ほど北上した東村の慶佐次川上流付近を訪れ、東村の国宝を守るために特定外来生物ツルヒヨドリの除去作業を手伝った。
