    Underwater Construction Team ONE

    Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 1 held a change of command ceremony, May 23, 2024, where Lt. Cmdr. Rory O’Boyle relieved Cmdr. Michael Duffy as UCT’s commanding officer during a ceremony onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story. Duffy extended gratitude for his Sailors during his two years with the unit. “To my team, I want to extend my deepest appreciation. Your unwavering commitment, resilience, and camaraderie have been the bedrock of our success, and it has been an incredible journey serving alongside such dedicated and skilled professionals.” UCT conducted more than 30 projects and 11 exercises across 16 countries in support of U.S. Fleet Forces Command and U.S. 6th Fleet during his tenure.
