YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 23, 2024) Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Vice Adm. GOKA Yoshihiro, commander, Fleet Submarine Forces, right, and Rear Adm. Christopher Cavanaugh, commander, Submarine Group 7 and Task Force 74/54, middle, present an award to the winners of the table centerpiece competition during the 124th Submarine Birthday Ball held at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, May 23, 2024. The ball was coordinated by Commander, Submarine Group 7, which directs forward-deployed, combat capable forces across the full spectrum of undersea warfare throughout the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Arabian Sea.
