Marcos Herrera, 63d Readiness Division, Hands-On Training Program work lead, reviews equipment inspection maintenance worksheets of 1015 Maintenance Company at Fort Cavazos, Texas, on May 30, 2024. Properly completed equipment inspection maintenance worksheets ensure operational readiness and safety by identifying potential issues early and maintaining compliance with Army regulations. They provide accountability and documentation necessary for resource management, logistical efficiency, and warranty claims. Accurate records also facilitate effective training, performance evaluation, and readiness for audits and inspections.
The 63d RD HOT Program provides practical, cost-effective training for US Army Reserve Soldiers and Units to maintain logistical skills and MOS. Conducted at 63d RD ECS/AMSA facilities, experienced Military Technicians (Mil-Techs) use “COACH” principles to guide Soldiers through actual maintenance tasks on their own or similar equipment. This enhances readiness by improving equipment availability and unit readiness ratings. At the same time, Soldiers strengthen their skills, Mil-Techs develop teaching abilities, and units learn effective production methods, benefiting the overall preparedness of the US Army Reserve.
