Spc. Vance Looney, wheeled vehicle mechanic for 1015 Maintenance Company, practices his maintenance skills on an FM-TV Trailer during the Hands-On Training Program at Fort Cavazos, Texas, on May 30, 2024.
The 63d Readiness Division HOT Program provides practical, cost-effective training for US Army Reserve Soldiers and Units to maintain logistical skills and MOS. Conducted at 63d RD ECS/AMSA facilities, experienced Military Technicians (Mil-Techs) use “COACH” principles to guide Soldiers through actual maintenance tasks on their own or similar equipment. This enhances readiness by improving equipment availability and unit readiness ratings. At the same time, Soldiers strengthen their skills, Mil-Techs develop teaching abilities, and units learn effective production methods, benefiting the overall preparedness of the US Army Reserve.
