U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Ethan Hays, assigned to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Light Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, based at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, plots points during individual lanes on June 10, 2024, at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, as part of the squad lanes exercise for the U.S. Army Pacific Best Squad Competition. The U.S. Army Pacific Best Squad Competition consists of multiple 5-Soldier squads from USARPAC units competing for the opportunity to represent USARPAC at the Department of the Army’s competition. The non-commissioned officers and junior enlisted will be assessed together in their ability to execute warrior tasks and battle drills, marksmanship and land navigation, and will be challenged to complete a mission as a squad.
