U.S. Army Spc. Jackson A. Coffey, an 11B Infantryman representing the 11th Airborne Division assigned to the 3-509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, based out of Alaska, assembles and disassembles an M249, June 10, 2024, at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, during the individual lanes for the U.S. Army Pacific Best Squad Competition. The U.S. Army Pacific Best Squad Competition consists of multiple 5-Soldier squads from USARPAC units competing for the opportunity to represent USARPAC at the Department of the Army’s competition. The non-commissioned officers and junior enlisted will be assessed together in their ability to execute warrior tasks and battle drills, marksmanship, and land navigation.
