Colby Denham, a native of Texas and an air traffic control communication technician with Marine Air Control Squadron (MACS) 24, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, conducts systems check on a radio at the U.S. Navy Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center on Andros Island, Bahamas, June 12, 2024. MACS-24 conducted daily air traffic control operations alongside Navy Tactical Air Control Squadron 21 in support of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 167 during Distributed Aviation Operations Exercise (DAOEx) 24. DAOEx 24 is designed to distribute command and control of aviation forces across echelons of command, pushing authorities to the lowest levels, while keeping forces moving between airfields and air sites.
