U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Dave Mahon, carpentry and masonry specialist assigned 1434th Engineering Company, 507th Engineering Battalion, Michigan Army National Guard uses a circular saw to cut soffit during annual training at Camp Grayling, Mich., Jun. 11, 2024. Soffit keeps moisture away from the rafters reducing the chance of mold and helps preserve the life of the materials supporting the modernization and improvement of Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center facilities. Annual training is typically a 15-day training period that allows Soldiers to execute complex training plans to increase proficiency in unit essential tasks. Service members of the Michigan National Guard train to strengthen their profession and maintain readiness to win our nation’s wars. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Patrick Mayabb)
