A foreign fishing boat fishes near Peru’s maritime border during a joint illegal, unregulated, unreported fishing training operation in support of exercise Resolute Sentinel 24, June 6, 2024. Peruvian and U.S Coast Guardsmen conducted the training to increase the awareness of this illegal practice around the globe and share practices on combating illegal, unregulated, unreported fishing. The importance of IUUF training between coast guardsmen of different countries lies in its ability to foster international collaboration, enhance maritime security, and protect vital marine resources.
