240618-N-LY640-1169 USTKA, Poland (June 18, 2024) – An MH-60S Seahawk helicopter from the “Black Jacks” Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) Squadron 21 lands on an airstrip in Ustka, Poland to refuel from an MV-22B Osprey from 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit on route to detonate a floating mine deployed by Norwegian Magnus Lagaboete during a mine countermeasure exercise with French and Norwegian forces in the Baltic Sea during BALTOPS24. BALTOPS24 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
