230613-N-NO819-1002 IWAKUNI, Japan (June 13, 2024) Steelworker 3rd Class Xavier Syboune, left, and Construction Electrician Constructionman Tyler Mccoach, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, adjust the influent tank float switch onboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, Japan June 13. NMCB-5 is forward deployed supporting Seabee missions throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States territories executing expeditionary construction. As the stand-in, crisis response, naval engineering force, NMCB-5 maintains a ready posture to deliver in-theater expeditionary logistics via expeditionary shore infrastructure, forward damage repair, and mobile construction to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and power projection.
