North Dakota National Guard 1st Lt. Eric Gilbertson, the survey team leader with the 81st Civil Support Team updates an operations board during a scenario-based training exercise at the federal building in Bozeman, Montana, on April 23, 2024. Both the North Dakota and Oregon Guard Civil Support Teams worked together in tandem at the site conducting a hazard assessment. Part of Joint Training Exercise Yellowstone, planned and hosted by the Montana National Guard, the exercise's objectives included strengthening communication and interoperability between the National Guard’s Region 6 states, which includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming.
