Oregon National Guard Spc. Maximus Reischke, survey team member, 102nd Civil Support Team takes readings inside a doorway before entering a room during a training scenario, part of Joint Training Exercise Yellowstone, in Bozeman, Montana, April 25, 2024. Entering the notional suspicious lab, Reischke worked with others team members and experts outside the building in determining what type of chemicals were present and potentially being manufactured. Hosted by the Montana National Guard, Joint Training Exercise Yellowstone included the National Guard’s Region 6 states, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming and aimed at strengthening communication and interoperability between participants.
