HALAWA, Hawaii (June 24, 2024) Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii personnel, in support of Navy Closure Task Force-Red Hill (NCTF-RH), use a forklift to load an aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) tote onto a truck for transport from the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility (RHBFSF) in Halawa, Hawaii, June 24, 2024. Three 265-gallon totes of 3% AFFF concentrate were transferred to Military Sealift Command for usage onboard ships in the fleet. Charged with the safe decommissioning of the RHBFSF, NCTF-RH was established by the Department of the Navy as a commitment to the community and the environment.
