As part of the hydrology survey plan for the National Mall Flood Mitigation plan, US Army Corps of Engineers survey crew deployed the Z-Boat in the Potomac River on the National Mall. They conducted a shore-to-shore survey from Georgetown to Fort Washington. The Z-Boat can get to the areas that a normal survey vessel cannot. The data collected is sent to the engineers who are currently devising a flood mitigation plan for the Tidal Basin. The data is normally available to the public within 14 days on the E-Hydro site. https://navigation.usace.army.mil/Survey/Hydro/
