U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman 3rd Class Ashley Na embarks a T-34 Mentor with U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Robert B. Brodie, the outgoing assistant wing commander of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, on Naval Air Station North Island, California, July 1, 2024. An F/A-18 pilot by trade, Brodie dedicated his last flight as the 3rd MAW AWC to mentoring the next generation of Naval officers, flying them during Professional Training of Midshipmen (PROTRAMID) in a T-34, the same aircraft platform he flew for the first time nearly 30 years ago.
