U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Robert B. Brodie, the outgoing assistant wing commander of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, gives a patch to U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman 3rd Class Ashley Na, after a flight on Naval Air Station North Island, California, July 1, 2024. An F/A-18 pilot by trade, Brodie dedicated his last flight as the 3rd MAW AWC to mentoring the next generation of Naval officers, flying them during Professional Training of Midshipmen (PROTRAMID) in a T-34 Mentor, the same aircraft platform he flew for the first time nearly 30 years ago.
