West Coast-based Naval Special Warfare (NSW) operators conduct military dive operations and prepare to board the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Greeneville (SSN 772) during fleet interoperability training in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Greenville is part of Commander Submarine Squadron 11, home to five Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines, which are capable of supporting various missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-ship warfare, strike warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. NSW is the nation’s elite maritime special operations force, uniquely positioned to extend the Fleet’s reach and gain and maintain access for the Joint Force in competition and conflict.
