1st Lt. Galen Peterson (left), a Colorado Springs, Colo., native, and Staff Sgt. Danny Key, a St. Louis native, await the presentation of their Bronze Star with Valor medals at Forward Operating Base Callahan in northern Baghdad April 17. Peterson, a platoon leader, and Key, a tank commander, serve with Company C, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad. The two men earned the award for their actions in helping stop a criminal attack on an Iraqi Army checkpoint in the southern portion Sadr City district of Baghdad March 27.
