Peterson and Key were later awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for their actions in quelling a criminal attack on an Iraqi army checkpoint in the southern portion of the Sadr City district of Baghdad March 27. Hort commands the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, to which Peterson, a platoon leader, and Key, a tank commander, are members of its Company C, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment.
