CAM RANH INTERNATIONAL PORT, Vietnam (July 11, 2024) - Members of the Vietnam Coast Guard share their experience during a discussion about Women, Peace and Security (WPS) aboard the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) at Cam Ranh International Port, Vietnam, July 11, 2024. U.S. Sailors, Coast Guardsmen, and members from the Vietnam People’s Navy, Vietnam Coast Guard, and Vietnam Boarder Guard, came together to discuss the impact of WPS for Maritime Organizations. The U.S. Coast Guard has operated in the Indo-Pacific for more than 150 years, and the service is increasing efforts through targeted patrols with our national security cutters, fast response cutters and other activities in support of Coast Guard missions to enhance our partnership. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
