Industrial Hygienist, Capt. Charles Wilhite, deputy commander the of Navy and Marine Corps Force Health Protection Command (NMCFHPC) addressed the audience during the Navy’s Blast Over Pressure (BOP) Summit on July 15, 2024, at the River’s Edge Community Center on Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia. The timing of the summit coincides with increased public attention on the impacts of blast overpressure, the pressure caused by a shock wave over and above normal atmospheric pressure.
