U.S. Army Col. Eli Lozano, commander of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), talks about WRAIR’s work and mission with U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paula C. Lodi, commander of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (MRDC) and Fort Detrick, at the third annual Capability Days event, May 22, 2024. Capability Days, held by MRDC, is a two-day event designed to foster networking, discussions, and demonstrations of military medicine and medical devices. It attracted over 200 people from across the Department of Defense, Congress, and industry, and they had the opportunity to engage with presentations, panel sessions, and booths showcasing the medical research being conducted at MRDC’s subordinate commands.
