Soldiers from Charlie Battery, 2nd Battalion 218th Field Artillery, Oregon Army National Guard, clear the breach of an M777 howitzer as part of a live fire exercise at Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) rotation 24-09 on July 20, 2024. The JRTC goal is to create realistic environments that help prepare units for complex operations. Training exercises include medical evacuations of wounded soldiers, weapon live-fire trainings, and force on force confrontations that help sharpen skills and maintain unit readiness.
