At the inauguration ceremony, U.S. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg stated, “I commend the Egyptian government and our private sector partners for thinking beyond traditional approaches, and for putting in place the International Applied Technology School model. Together, we are preparing students with marketable skills. Our shared commitment to the IATS is helping Egypt’s youth enter the workforce with the skill sets they need to secure employment and further economic growth nationwide.”
USAID Workforce Egypt, in collaboration with the private sector and Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education, has launched ten International Applied Technology Schools in Sharqia, Alexandria, Giza, Assiut, Menoufia, Luxor, Qalyubia, and Minya. This partnership advances technical education to better meet the needs of employers in Egypt and connect skilled students to good jobs.
