A U.S. Marine Corps recruit with Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, executes conditioning drills as part of the introduction to the combat fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California, July 24, 2024. The recruits were introduced to the CFT by conducting portions of the test individually. The CFT is an annual fitness test that is required of all Marines to pass and maintain consisting of an 880-yard sprint, ammunition can lifts, and a maneuver under fire drill.
