Firefighters from the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department respond to an exercise on the flight line at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, July 23, 2024. The scenario involved a KC-15 Stratotanker taxiing back to its hardstand being hit by a van pulling out of a hangar, with the driver not paying attention. The exercise simulated that the van hit the number one engine of the jet. Realistic training is a vital part of the U.S. Air Force's readiness and tests our abilities to accomplish the mission.
