A civilian from the 100th Logistics Readiness Squadron Ground Transportation flight attaches a cable to a vehicle being recovered during an aircraft mishap exercise at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, July 23, 2024. The scenario involved a KC-135 Stratotanker taxiing back to its hardstand being hit by a van pulling out of a hangar, with the driver not paying attention. The exercise simulated that the van hit the number one engine of the jet. Realistic training is a vital part of the U.S. Air Force's readiness and tests units' abilities to accomplish the mission.
