US Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Austin Harvill, a Public Affairs Specialist at the 163d Attack Wing in Southern California, welcomes student nurses from the Okinawa Prefectural College of Nursing to a luncheon with his fellow Air National Guard service members from across the state of California, July 19, 2024. The event, part of the US Naval Hospital Okinawa’s Civil Engagement Program, included a tour of the military medical facilities and work centers. During the luncheon, the nurses learned about the dual roles of Air National Guard members, who serve in various medical positions both in civilian life and in the military. The event concluded with the exchange of unit patches as a memento of the visit. (US Air national Guard Photograph By Staff Sgt. Joseph Pagan)
