U.S. Airmen assigned to the 125th Medical Group, Florida Air National Guard board a C-17 Globemaster Aug. 8, 2024, at Jacksonville Air National Guard Base, Florida. The flight is headed to Puerto Rico for a training exercise to enhance air-load capabilities, refine pre- and post- deployment procedures, expand mission readiness in an unfamiliar environment, and fulfill Comprehensive Medical Readiness Plan requirements, including critical care, search and extraction, and Air Force Specialty Code proficiency training, while collaborating with the 156th Medical Group, Muñiz Air National Guard Base, Carolina, Puerto Rico.
