    U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Brian Nau, an instructor with the Washington National Guard’s Western Regional Counterdrug Training Center (WRCTC) teaches a land navigation course to personnel with the Quinault Indian Nation (QIN) Emergency Management Program at the QIN Emergency Management Department in Taholah, Wash., Aug. 7, 2024. A mobile training team with the WRCTC taught students to identify terrain features on a map, plot grid locations, use a compass to determine magnetic and grid north, shoot an azimuth, and plan a route, culminating with a day and night practical exercise.
