U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Michael Southwell, from Arcadia, Fla., rides a watercraft in the Persian Gulf near a Qatar general's beach home, April 20. The Qatar armed forces chief of staff invited over 400 service members to enjoy beach activities, water crafts, falcon exhibitions, camel rides, all-terrain vehicles and Arabic cuisine. "I didn't think I would be doing this while on deployment!" said Southwell. "I can't thank the general enough for his hospitality."
