U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Deydre Teyhen, director of the Defense Health Network's National Capital Region, shares her insights during a visit to the 3rd Division Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division's Holistic Health and Fitness system facilities on Fort Stewart, Georgia, Aug. 15, 2024. The brigade's injury prevention coordinator, Capt. Amber Stewart, and Fort Stewart Army Medical Department Activity commander, Col. Margaret Berryman described local initiatives that will enhance Soldiers' readiness and performance. The 3rd DSB is currently establishing a performance readiness center inside the unit footprint on Fort Stewart for its future performance team. During her visit, Teyhen lauded the Soldiers' work and advised on how to integrate into the unit, inform Soldiers about the resource, and earn their trust in the program. The Army's H2F program integrates physical fitness, mental resilience, nutrition, sleep, and spiritual wellness to enhance overall health and reduce injury rates. The H2F team of physical therapists, dieticians, and mental health professionals are key members of the 3rd DSB Prevention System, which provides holistic and creative initiatives to support Soldiers across all protective factors.
