ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 7, 2024) Fire Controlman 3rd Class Matthew Zamorski, from Crestview, Fla., assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109), performs maintenance on the Mark 15 Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) during Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), Aug. 7, 2024. The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group is underway in the Atlantic Ocean completing integrated naval warfighting training. COMPTUEX is an intense, multi-week exercise designed to fully integrate a carrier strike group as a cohesive, multi-mission fighting force, to assess their ability to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea, and drive future warfighting development.
